Z3 Safety is committed to making z3safety.com usable by the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We design and review the Site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the W3C.
1. Conformance status
Z3 Safety targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance. "Targets" means we have designed the Site against those criteria and continue to test and remediate against them. Some content — particularly third-party embeds described in Section 4 — may not yet fully conform. We treat WCAG 2.1 AA as the standard we measure ourselves against and work to maintain.
2. What we've built into the Site
- Keyboard navigation for primary navigation, forms, and interactive controls
- Skip-to-content links on each policy page
- Visible focus indicators that meet WCAG contrast guidance
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- Alt text on meaningful images and decorative-image conventions for non-essential graphics
- Color contrast tested against the WCAG AA 4.5:1 standard for body text and 3:1 for large text and non-text UI
- Respect for the user's
prefers-reduced-motionsetting, which disables non-essential motion - Responsive layout that supports text resizing up to 200% without loss of content or function
- Form fields with associated labels and error messaging
3. How we test
Z3 Safety uses a combination of:
- Manual review against WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria during design and before publishing
- Automated testing with standard accessibility scanners during build
- Keyboard-only navigation testing on primary user flows (contact form, AED program pages, service pages)
- Mobile and screen-reader spot checks on iOS VoiceOver and macOS VoiceOver
4. Known limitations
- Third-party review widget. The customer reviews widget embedded on the Site (MarketPushApps) is delivered by a third party and may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. The underlying review content is also available in plain text on request — contact us using the methods below.
- Embedded fonts. The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. If Google Fonts is unavailable, the Site falls back to system fonts that remain legible.
- Iframe embedding. The Site is presented inside a Wix Studio iframe on z3safety.com. Some assistive-technology behaviors may depend on the host page's markup, which is outside Z3 Safety's direct control.
- Third-party PDFs and documents. Some documents we link to (for example, certifying-body fact sheets or Cal/OSHA publications) are produced by third parties and may have varying accessibility quality. We will provide an accessible alternative on request.
5. California and federal frameworks we consider
In addition to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, Z3 Safety considers the following legal frameworks when evaluating accessibility:
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Title III — federal law prohibiting disability discrimination by places of public accommodation, which courts have applied to commercial websites that connect to physical services.
- California Unruh Civil Rights Act — California Civil Code §§ 51 et seq., which prohibits discrimination in business establishments and has been applied to website accessibility for California-facing businesses.
6. Feedback and accommodation requests
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on z3safety.com, need an alternative format of a document, or need help completing the contact form, please tell us. We will acknowledge your request promptly and work with you on a reasonable resolution.
